According to Rule 0633 of the 2015 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the method for measuring the viscosity of cellulose materials is stipulated.
The IVS400 Fully Automatic Ubbelohde Viscometer, designed with the Ubbelohde viscometer as its core, complies with relevant standards such as ISO, GB, and DIN. It achieves a fully automatic testing process, including automatic measurement, automatic calculation, automatic waste discharge, automatic cleaning, and automatic drying. The timing accuracy can reach 0.001 seconds. It provides a stable and uniform temperature field with a deviation of ≤±0.01℃ for the test, ensuring the accuracy of experimental data.
Testing Procedure
1. Weighing
Weigh the sample using a balance with a precision of one ten-thousandth and place it into the sample bottle. Use the DP25 automatic liquid dispenser to transfer the solvent into the sample bottle.
2. Dissolving
Place the sample bottle into the Zhongwang Polymer Dissolver P12 and dissolve the sample according to the specified temperature and time.
3. Viscosity Testing
Turn on the IVS400 viscometer and set the required water bath temperature. Add the solution to the Ubbelohde viscometer. Open the software to initiate automatic testing and calculation. The test data can be automatically stored on the computer.
4. Test Results
The results are automatically calculated based on the formula.
5. Cleaning the Ubbelohde Viscometer
After automatic waste discharge, the cleaning reagent is automatically added to clean and dry the viscometer.
